Meet My Celebrity Friends

If you're here from Ruthie or Britt's blogs, hello & thank you so much for stopping by! I do hope that you want to stick around a while because I like to have fun over here... and well from the evidence of this post my family and I are constantly requested to do photo shoots and we have a lot of celebrity friends. And who doesn't want to know someone that knows someone?? Seriously, just let me know and I'll put in a call to my girl Ellen or my main man Leo. But don't even bother trying to get in touch with Gerard... he's mine.

JT, Me, Ellen

Aunt & Uncle w/ Mad Men Cast

Aunt Amy as Sienna Miller

Aunt Chris as Sienna Miller

Gaga, Cousin Allison

Mom as Cinderella

Grandparents as Elvis & Ann

Me, Mom, Aunt Chris, Cousin Allison, Cousin Ryan, Aunt Amy, Brother Lucas

Clair & Brother Lucas

Grandma & Leo

Me & Gerard

Dad as Knight

Entire Family in 'Lost' pose

Cousin Allison as Snow White

Alright... so maybe these aren't really our friends. And maybe (just maybe) we don't really get bombarded for photo shoots... but my mom sure can photoshop can't she? A few years ago she and my father spent countless hours cutting out our faces to make an entire book (I'm talkin' magazine thickness) for Christmas. Every picture is either us with/as celebrities, or us in place of whatever celebrity was posing as a Disney character. The entire book was so freaking awesome and I wish I could share the entire thing with you all, but I've already photo dumped the heck out of this post. Anyway, I hope you all enjoyed meeting my highly attractive family and our friends. Be sure to stop back by sometime!

That Had to Hurt

Ok, I know I deemed Fridays to be "Foodie Friday", but so far it's really not working out, haha oops! I promise as soon as I can get my crap together, the recipe posts will keep coming. For now, I will just continue to load you all with excuses such as:

"I had planned to make dinner on Wednesday night but wasn't feeling well and didn't feel like cooking so we ordered a pizza."

OR

"I was going to make dinner Thursday night but Raymond had a softball game and we didn't get home until after 10pm."

**********

Like I said, last night we had a softball game and let me tell ya, it sure was one heck of a game. Apparently the team they played were their "arch nemesis" so it was a big deal. Unfortunately our team came out of the gates SUCKING (sorry, guys), and were down 12-5 with 6 minutes left in the game. Somewhere, some how, The Baggs pulled 8 runs out of their you-know-whats and came back with the W! It was actually really awesome and fun to be cheering them on. I am so glad they won because the other team were a bunch of trash-talkers and they are absolutely not 12 runs worthy!

To top of the awesome win, we had a blow out on the way home. Luckily R can change a tire like a champ and we were back on the road in no time (seriously, not even 10 minutes)! I thank the Lord I have a man that is capable of changing a tire... something I believe every man should know how to do.

SOMEBODY thinks he is still small enough to sit on the console!
**********

All of this softball talk has me reminiscing about 5 years ago when Raymond and I first started dating. I want to say we had been dating for a month (?) when he took me to one of his softball games. Everything was going smoothly, and I'm sure he was trying to play his best to impress me. My first thoughts were that he was really really good and I was definitely impressed!

Raymond was playing short stop and a guy from the other team was up to bat. As soon as he hit the ball Raymond caught it (of course), but he needed to get the ball to 1st base to get out another guy. As soon as he threw it, I heard SMACK! and then a "Ohhhhhhh!!!!!!!!!!!!" from both teams, and all spectators. The ball hit the guy smack dab in the center of his upper back. Holy cow did that have to hurt! R felt like a complete jerk, to say the least and I'm sure he was completely embarrassed. What a way to break in a new girlfriend, huh?

Surely enough, his throwing tactics didn't scare me away and now almost 5 years later I'm catching his balls... (softballs, that is)!

Love you, poo!

What was I Thinking?

Well folks, while you're reading this I'm probably off in dream land and under the knife. As long as I dont die, posts will appear at the regularly scheduled time!

**********

A few weeks ago I was being a lazy butt watching TV and saw a clip having to do something with Sarah Michelle Gellar and Freddie Prinze Jr. I remember being head over heals in love with Freddie Prinze when I was younger and while seeing him flash onto my television, all I could think was "What was I thinking???" Seriously... he really is not as dreamy as I remember!

This in turn lead me to thinking about all of the other guys that I had huge crushes on growing up, but now cannot, for the life of me, figure out why. I've decided to keep real life people out of this post for the .02% chance that any of them ever read my blog... so we will stick with the celebs!

I don't think any of these guys are ugly by any means... they are just totally not my type these days.

Freddie Prinze Jr.
I was totally in love with Freddie when he made the movie 'Down To You' with Julia Styles. Man oh man was he just the dreamiest of dream boats, or what? This above picture is actually the screen shot of what I saw on TV a few weeks ago. I just cannot get over whatever look this is that he is trying to pull off... smart/bookworm/quiet/idontcare look? Not feelin' it, buddy.

Josh Hartnett
I fell madly in love with Josh in the movie 'Pearl Harbor' . I won't deny... still watching that movie makes me love him but any other time, all I want to do is wax his dang uni-brow!

Ben Affleck
Same goes for Ben in 'Pearl Harbor'. Can't get enough of him but any other time, that butt chin just aint gonna fly.
Justin Timberlake
Ok, don't even get me started on this one! This picture makes me die laughing every time I see it. Salmon turtle neck and a bleached perm? HA.

Mel Gibson
Oh, Mel. What the heck happened to you? Why did you have go all crazy nutzo on us? At least we still have "Braveheart' to remember you by.

I would absolutely love to hear about the guys that used to have a place in your hearts!

I Die, I Die

Remember those resolution things we all make at the beginning of the year? No? Me either... I wish. I made a resolution to run more often this year. And so far, I have been doing a damn good job of it, if I do say so myself. I run every day at the gym, whether it is for 10 minutes or 50 (haha).

Yesterday morning as I started my 20 minutes of cardio for boot camp, I noticed a slight pain in my knee and ankle. I know the ankle thing is from when I ate it down some stairs, but the knee thing? No idea where the heck that creeped up from. I can typically stretch out my ankle after warming up for a few minutes and the pain subsides, but today I just about wanted to rip my leg off. It didn't help that I had lead-legs either. With all that being said, if this whole knee crap doesn't go away, I'm probably going to crumble and die inside. I have just begun to enjoy running, and now I've got to stop. Damn you old lady joints!

I absolutely must share this video with you guys. I saw it for the first time yesterday and have now watched it enough times to count on two hands. Every time I watch it, I have tears streaming down my face and my heart feels like it is about to burst from my chest from laughing so hard. Please take some time to watch this, and then share it with the people you love and want to make laugh. Or you could share it with the people you hate too, and then they could pee themselves and be really embarrassed. Your call.

And if you're too high and mighty that this video doesn't even make you crack a slight chuckle, well then you don't know real comedy when ya see it. Now remove yourself from my blog! Just kidding... but really, it's hysterical, right?

Texts From Bennet

Happy Thursday, folks! Every Monday I am so disappointed that it's only Monday... and then all of a sudden here we are, and we've only got one more day to get through until the weekend. Woo hoo!

Have you guys heard of Texts From Bennett yet? Please, please tell me yes! And if not, then you're in for a real treat! Before I get started, let me warn you that some of the stuff written is rather dirty, disgusting, and should definitely be read by those with a sense of humor and that can handle really awful, gross things!

This guy started a blog of screen shots of his texts messages between himself and his cousin.

Via Texts From Bennett: "These are text messages I exchange with my 17 year old cousin Bennett. He is a white boy that thinks he's a crip, works at Aamco, has a girlfriend named Mercedes, and is one of the most unintentionally funny and brilliant souls on the planet."

I first heard about TFB from someone on my Facebook (can't remember who, sorry!) and have been addicted ever since. I make sure to check the site at least once a week for updates. They are hysterical every time. If you guys haven't check it out yet, make sure you do!

What insane/hysterical things have you found via internet? Please, share!

Mexican Pointy Boots

A while back, Raymond introduced me to what all the rage is these days in Mexico. If you havent already seen this, you guys and gals are in for quite a treat! See for yourself.

I really love the one of the guy using over-sized candy canes to make fun of all these dbags! So awesome. I can't imagine how this hasn't caught on here in the US yet?? Isn't this insane?! And how awkward it must be to try to walk in a pair of those bad boys. How embarrassing. I just don't get it, or how in the world something so stupid caught on like it has!

If this hasn't satisfied your fix, you can check out the light-up and logo pointy boots here.

What fashion fad do you think is just redicilous or just not your style?

I don't get the headband around the forehead thing. Maybe if you're going for a hippie look, but I still don't think it's my taste. Spare me the big mark across my forehead, please!

Like a Tumbleweed

Over the weekend my business had a booth at the Bridal Extravaganza held here in town at the Palmer Events Center.

If you have ever been to the events center, then you know it's connected to a parking garage, like most buildings downtown are. I was getting all of my things together that I needed to take inside with me. Those things consisted of my purse, clipboard, tumbler of water, large bag holding my skin care products, binder, spiral, etc., and another small container that had pens, sticky notes, my phone and keys. Needless to say, I had no free hands, let alone arms to spare! Let's not forget I was dressed to impress. Curled hair, heels, skirt, nice shirt.

I parked on the second floor of the garage, and when I saw numerous people piling into the elevator, I said to myself, "Psh, I'm taking the stairs. Yeah, I've got a lot of stuff to carry too, but why not loose a couple calories while I'm a young, capable woman." So passed the elevator I walked, and prepared myself to walk down 3 flights of concrete steps.

The stairs here had non-slip strips on each one, that way, when it rains, you don't fall on your booty.

One thing about those little non-slip strips, heels can get stuck in them. And that's exactly what mine did. And down 7-8 steps I went. Like a graceful tumbleweed blowing in the wind. Not.

More like this:

My stuff went flying, my phone all the way down to the ground below me (it didn't break!), and my markers, keys, and everything else all over the place. Tons o' fun, let me tell ya.

Luckily, no one was around and I didn't break any bones or hit my face. I'm a bit bruised up on my left thigh, right ankle, and right shoulder. Other than having a bit of trouble lifting my right arm to get dressed, wash my hair, etc., I'm okay.

Moral of this story, no matter how lazy you look, always always take the elevator.
