Milo, Finn & My Achey Breaky Heart

My heart is absolutely about to burst into a million pieces.

With the start of a new job quickly approaching, I can't keep my mind from thinking about not seeing my boys every day. For the past almost three years I have had the pleasure of seeing their sweet faces. Sure, there are times when I absolutely want to rip out my [enter f-bomb] hair, and times that I have actually been brought to tears of frustration while they run wild around the house, but I cannot imagine my life with out them.

The other evening as I was putting them to bed, Finny grabbed my neck, hugged me, looked me dead in the eyes, and said "I love you Sam-Sam". My heart melted into a puddle of sticky goo and I balled my eyes out while squeezing and kissing the crap out of this once-tiny human. I never wanted to let him go.

There are days I thought would never end, moments I thought I just might lose it. Questions and doubts as to what the proper way to raise these boys was. I've poured my heart out to Raymond about how fantastic [and sometimes awful] they can be. I cannot begin to count the times I have texted Raymond the words "kill.me.now." due to some of meltdowns I have put up with. But the moment I lay my head down to sleep at night, a warm feeling comes over my body, thoughts of them fill my head, and my heart feels like it just might implode with love.

I have been so blessed to be able to create a bond with my cousins that I never would have been able to do without helping raise them on a daily basis. I pray that they have learned, grown, prospered, and will always hold me dear in their hearts. Obviously, they will never fade from mine.

Obsessed

Hey hey hey and happy Tuesday! Today is an amazing day here in the ATX (high of 72 degrees and sunny!) and I am in a much better mood than I was yesterday.

With that being said, I thought I'd share a few of the things I have been obsessed with lately.

Kindle - Raymond got me a Kindle Fire for my birthday the other week and I cannot put the thing down. I have been wanting a Kindle since they came out a few years ago but have never had the guts to just buy the darn thing. Well, now they first version is down to $79 and I mentioned to R that I was thinking about finally getting it. Low and behold, not only did Raymond get me a Kindle, he got me the most awesomest one ever! It works just like a lap top so I can do any and everything on it and I have already read 2 and a half books. Awesome!

Words With Friends - Yep, I've just gotten around to jumping on the bandwagon. I'm not a huge gamer, but this game is FUN! I can't help it, but my competitive side comes out... especially when I'm playing my friends. samsher46 if you want to play... hehe!

Hunger Games - I had heard about these books numerous times from friends and on the radio and decided that when I got my Kindle, there was nothing stopping me from testing them out. I read the first and second books each in 2 days, and am almost halfway through the third. I told Raymond that if he ever takes me to any other movie ever again in our entire lives, I want it to be this one. The Hunger Games comes out on March 24th and I am counting down the days.

Dancing Grandma - I just saw this video today but I have already fallen in love with it. I have a soft spot for mawmaw and pawpaw's and this just melted my heart. Hope you enjoy!

What I'm Lovin' Lately

I did a post about a few things that I was lovin' last Friday... you can check it out here. I figured that this would be a good idea for a weekly post... or until I run out of things I love!

  • Chobani Greek yogurt. I kid you not when I say that I tried every single Greek yogurt available to me before I laid my hands on this stuff. I had seen Chobani all over the blog world and only heard good things about it... but every time I went to the grocery store, it was no where to be found. All other Greek yogurts I found to be so sour and to me, inedible. Finally a few weeks ago my local grocery store had the stuff stocked! And it's amazing. I recently tried their 3 new flavors and every single one of them is fantastic! Not only do I love the yogurt, but I love the people that work for Cho as well. I tweeted the other day that I thought the new Apples and Cinnamon flavor was so good (and it is!) and someone from the company contacted me and are sending me a case of the stuff. Score!

  • Sh*t Girls Say. These videos are great, and so true!

  • Karma. I know, you're all thinking what is this girl talking about? Lately I'm loving karma. I am a big believer in treating others the way you'd like to be treated. I feel like the only way you're going to get good things out of live is to give good things. Don't treat someone like a pile of poo' and then expect them to invite you to their wedding. It's nothing we haven't heard before, now we all just need to utilize it. I promise, the world would be a better place if everyone was nice. Anyway, in the past 6 months to a year I have been focusing on being kind to others. Raymond and I always open our door to friends and family and they know (hopefully) that they are always welcome, and that we will do pretty much any and everything for those in need! With that being said, I feel like we have been blessed, so to say, with great things in life and they are only getting better for us. I finally feel like our life is coming together, the way we want it to be!

  • Someecards. I am sure you all have seen these everywhere before, and they are nothing new to me. I just have found them more hysterical lately. For some reason I can find a card for everything I'm thinking! They are the greatest thing ever. They say everything you're thinking for you, and spare you the jerk title, all while using humor. Doesn't get much better than that, folks!

Love Makes the World Go 'Round

Today I thought I'd share a few of things that I'm loving lately. Maybe you will see something that sparks your interest, too!

  • Like everyone else and their mommas... Pinterest. It makes me feel crafty, want to bake, cook, buy a house, get married, be a fashion designer, and everything else that I'm not! It makes me feel productive even though I'm really just wasting endless hours looking at pictures.

Perfect for my children's (that I don't have) room.

Ready for a bikini bod!

I will find an occasion to make this cake

    Gimme gimme everything

  • This video. It really is awesome. I'm a sucker for anything romantic and cheesey and anything that has to do with weddings! I just love all of these "surprise" wedding dances these days!

  • This one is sort-of a love hate. You can read the full story here. I'm sure you have all heard of Natalee Holloway, who was said to have dissapeared on a senior trip to Aruba. It's believed that Joran van der Sloot killed her, but somehow it's never been proven. I have watched many shows and read quite a few stories about the Holloway case and it is so sad, and sickening. It's so sad to watch, because it is so obvious that he killed her, or at least had something to do with her dissapearance. Joran actually just pled guilty to killing another woman in Peru, and was sentenced to 28 years. I love this becuase he is in jail, but I hate this because it's only 28 years? He flat out pleaded guilty and isn't going to jail for life. He is such a scum bag. I could go on all day about this, but I wont. Just glad he is locked away!

  • Foodbuzz! Have you guys heard of it? It is a website that you can connect with people, bloggers or non-bloggers and share recipes! The community is so dang friendly and there are already so many recipes that I want to try! I'm thinking about creating a recipe-to-try book soon and loading the bad boy up with all kinds of goodies. Get ready for this blog to turn into my personal cook-book!

What are you loving lately?? I'd love to see some awesome stuff to further waste my time with... seriously!
